Welcome! Joshua was a high priest and he was at the place of his assignment – THE ALTAR to offer sacrifice, but there was a force, a power, a satanic influence standing at his right hand.
Oh! Satan himself was at his right hand resisting his priestly sacrifice. And what the Holy Ghost wants you to know today is that satan is still in the business of resisting you as a New Testament priest like Joshua in the Old Testament.
It doesn’t matter who or what you are, satan is in the business of accusing you, but he shall fail concerning you. One of the tools of satanic resistance is ACCUSATION! Oh! There is one dangerous ministry of satan against the believer and that is to accuse you daily before your God.
But why should satan resist a high priest in the class of Joshua? Why is he still resisting the believer today? Oh! What is giving the devil the boldness and audacity to resist and accuse you? Verse 3 reveals: “Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.”
Did you see that? Joshua’s garment was filthy and stinking. Wow! So Joshua had a weakness and it was that weakness that gave satan the legal right to accuse, resist and claim Joshua as his property.
And the same principle is applicable today. When you allow the presence of sin in your life or heart, you will be accused and resisted by the devil.
THE RESULT IS THAT YOU ARE SLOWED DOWN! It could be anything sinful. It may be lying, unforgiveness, stealing, cheating, fornication, adultery, homosexualism, lesbianism, gossiping, malice and hatred, etc!
