Today’s devotional heading reminds me of a Bible study I did years ago on: THE CHRISTIAN AS AN ACTOR OR A SAINT! A question popped up then and I want you to key into this now: “If you were living your life on a stage, who would be in your audience?” I can tell you who is often in my audience. From time to time, it is my wife who is in my audience. Sometimes, it is my children (during holidays), friends, neighbours, and people in church I am praying for. For a user of today’s devotional, your audience could be those in your office, those in your neighborhood, those in your school or your local church! What that means is that these are the people who actually see you daily or weekly and can talk about your character, depending on what side of your character you have shown to them. However, a Christian should only be concerned with playing in front of one audience – (Jesus Christ). Today’s scripture vs. 4 says: “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please Him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.” Note: “that he may please Him who hath chosen him.” Your first duty is to please Him who has chosen you! As you go out today/daily in this year 2025, always imagine Him sitting in the front row waiting to give you a standing ovation. He is in front and center waiting to cheer you on, even when you make genuine mistakes (As an actor on life’s stage, always remember that, there are no repeat performances in life). Make sure you are living your life for an audience of one! DON’T TRY TO IMPRESS PEOPLE IN 2025! Do all you can to impress Him daily who has chosen you!
