LESSONS FROM THE STUBBORN SPIDER: NEVER GIVE UP!
BASIC SCRIPTURE: JEREMIAH 32:16-22
“Robert Bruce was crowned King of Scotland on March 27th _1306. He was however deposed in 1307 by King Edward I of England. Bruce was forced to flee to the highlands and then to the little Island of Rathlin on the coast of Antrim (now Northern Ireland). While there, he continued to recruit followers and in less than two years, he liberated Scotland from the British. He again defeated the British army in the popular battle of Bannockburn, which eventually led to the Independence of Scotland in 1328.
