TOPIC: PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE
If you want to stand out in life, you must be willing to go the extra mile. You must be willing to stay in your game when others have given up. You must refuse every temptation to follow the path of least resistance. Our Basic Scripture gives an account of how Daniel and his three friends rose to the top.
I ask myself, “Were they the only Jews in the land? Were they the only ones who had royal blood flowing in their veins? Were they the only ones that God loved?” The answer to all these questions is “No.” They rose to the top simply because they chose to do what was right and they kept at it until it lifted them higher than their peers. It’s easy to give up, when every other person is giving up. But it’s not honourable. Jim Rohn, entrepreneur, author, and motivational speaker, says that “Some People Plant In The Spring And Leave In The Summer. If You Are Signed Up For A Season, See It Through. You Don’t Have To Stay Forever, But At Least Stay Until You See It Through.” Albert Einstein, the great scientist, says this about himself, “It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.” God always rewards faithfulness! A faithful man will abound with blessings (Proverbs 28: 20). If you want to see the blessings of God abound in your life, you must be willing to stay with whatever God has put in your charge until it is finished. Jesus was like that. He stayed on the cross until “IT IS FINISHED.” The people were mocking him and the devils of hell were tormenting Him. He could have given up. He could have called down thousands of angels. That was the easiest thing to do. But the least honourable. He stayed on the cross, and because of that, He is the most celebrated “Man” that has ever walked the face of the earth. If you want to be celebrated, you must be willing to stay in your game until you win. So hold on and hold out! You will NEVER end in SHAME!
