DEVOTIONAL TOPIC FOR TODAY: LEARN FROM THE ANTS – 2

Ants! Oh! I cannot stop talking about them! There are seven key lessons that we can learn from
these wonderful creatures. They are wise creatures and they are wise in these seven things:
1)They look ahead. An ant gathers food in harvest, in preparation
for summer; for these wonderful creatures, summer time is work
time. That is when you and I travel all over the place enjoying
holidays. They are busy then. Preparing for the rainy day.
2) They save for the future; an
ant never assumes that the future
will be bright. No, they work
TODAY in order to secure the
brightness of the future.
3)They don’t make excuses for failure. You will never hear an ant
say, ‘I don’t have a father, I don’t have a president, I won’t go
and look for food…’
4)They never give up! Watch an ant trying to move a food particle
over an obstacle. If the food keeps falling, the ant will return to
it and keep on trying until it succeeds.
5)They think positively. An ant is never daunted by the size or
weight of whatever it wants to move. If it finds a particle too big,
he breaks it down into moveable pieces. That is the result of
positive thinking. A positively-minded person will believe that
‘there is a way to do this thing…’ and he will search it out.
6)They sleep during the time of sleep, and work during the time
of work. Ants don’t have alarm clocks; they don’t have
timekeepers, yet they know when to sleep and when to get up to
work. They never delegate responsibility to others. They are
not victims of PROCRASTINATION!
7)They work as one; during work time, ants work as a team. Ants
have a way of informing one another the direction to move.
They fight as one against an enemy. And if need be, they die as
one. THEY ARE TEAM WORK EXPERTS! Learn and pray now!
