YOU ARE NOT THE “GENERAL MANAGER” OF THE UNIVERSE! A s 2024 ends, the Holy Ghost is reminding someone today that: YOU ARE NOT GOD! YOU ARE A MERE MAN FILLED WITH THE HOLY GHOST! Colossians 3:17 ( KJV) says: “And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him.” Then Ecclesiastes 10:15 says: The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.” Another translation says: “Only someone too stupid to find his way home would wear himself out with work” (GNT). When you feel you must please everybody, then you are playing GOD! Even GOD CANNOT PLEASE EVERYBODY EXCEPT BY FORCE! You’re not God. You don’t have all the answers. You can’t do everything! YOU CANNOT PAY EVERYONE’S SCHOOL FEES! YOU CANNOT MEET EVERYONE’S NEEDS! ONLY GOD CAN DO THAT! There was a period I was feeling guilty because I was not able to please/help everyone! That was foolishness as a young minister! It’s also foolish to wear yourself out with work! Ah, there was time I wrote ODM for 20 hours a day! But do you realize that when you overwork, you’re playing God? It’s a way of saying that it all depends on you, that everything will crash down if you don’t keep the world spinning. That’s just not true! Rick Warren once said: “You’re not the general manager of the universe!” I agree! The universe will not fall apart if you take time to rest and balance your life. God has it under control! When you compare yourself with others, YOU ARE PLAYING GOD! Have you forgotten that GOD GAVE US DIFFERENT CALENDARS and MANIFESTATION TIMES? Listen: YOUR SEASON WILL COME, but STOP PLAYING GOD! When you blame God or get depressed by that DELAY, then you are PLAYING GOD! As 2024 ends, look up to Him! He is God and you will never end in shame!
