NEVER FORGET THAT despite all his prayers and fasting, MOSES MISSED THE PROMISED LAND! But catch this hidden fact – The whole journey through the wilderness was a typology (a type) of our spiritual journey through planet earth. “Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; And did all eat the same spiritual meat. And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ (1 Corinthians 10:1-4). Yea! THAT ROCK WAS CHRIST! BUT NOTE THIS: The rock (Christ) had already been struck at Meribah Masah (when Moses struck the Rock and water came out, he actually crucified Christ by that act). He CANNOT be struck again at Meribah Kadesh (where God commanded him to just SPEAK to the Rock). Christ is never to be struck twice otherwise Christ would need to be re-crucified again and again and keeping dying again and again as in the days of Old Testament sacrifices. I repeat as I am commanded – When Moses struck the rock twice, he was trying to CRUCIFY CHRIST TWICE (Hebrews 6: 6). Moses was instructed to speak to the Rock because after the striking of Jesus unto crucifixion at Meribah Massah, came the word of faith that led to salvation at Meribah Kadesh. As 2024 rolls on, learn to SPEAK TO THE ROCK DAILY (See Romans 10: 8-10). DON’T STRIKE HIM OVER AND OVER AGAIN BY YOUR SECRET SINS, worry, anxiety, secret anger against God and your hypocritical lifestyle! But catch this fun: Moses was invited to come and die! Wow! God called him to look at the Promised Land from Mount Abarim, then He told him to die on the mountain (Deuteronomy 32:51-52) – just like that! Wow! And God buried him Himself (Deuteronomy 34:6).
