Welcome to the 2nd quarter of the year. No matter how glorious this year has been for you so far, the next months will be much more glorious because: The Rest Of Your Life Can be The Best Of Your Life! Also, no matter how painful it has been, refuse to give up because light can only be strongly appreciated in thick darkness! What the Lord is saying in today’s devotional is this: It’s too late to quit. If you are under pressure and are being tempted to give up on a very important goal or dream today, I want to encourage you, HOLD ON! Maybe you have been trusting God for something since January, and now things are even tougher and you are wondering, “It’s even more impossible…” Please don’t give up now! Joseph Cossman said, “Do not quit! Hundreds of times I have watched people throw in the towel at the one-yard line while someone else comes along and makes a fortune by just going that extra yard.” Remember David! As a young boy, he was called home from the field one day and anointed to be a ruler over the people of God. You would have thought that the next day or the next week or month, something would just happen to king Saul, and David would be made king. But it did not happen as fast and in most cases, that’s the story of many lives! In fact, Saul began to pursue David and he wanted David dead. The pressure was much, but David did not quit. Listen to the words of Harried Beecher Stowe: “When you get in a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn.” David did not eventually become the king over the entire land of Israel until he was thirty years old. He held on to the Word of God and His faithfulness for more than ten years. Like David would always do, encourage yourself in the Lord (1 Samuel 30:6). Because He Who Has Promised Is Faithful And Able To Do All He Said He Would Do, It Is Not Yet Time To Give Up.The Rest Of Your Life Can be The Best Of Your Life! Hold On!
