“Once upon a time, a painter was commissioned to portray the drawing of a ruined church. But instead of an old, tottering ruin, he painted a magnificent edifice of modern design. Through the windows could be seen an ornate collection box for the gifts of the fashionable worshipers. Above it hung a sign bearing the inscription, “For Missions.” But sadly, the box was covered in cobwebs. Amazing! COVERED IN COBWEBS? That means it was abandoned and deserted. This is the story of many churches today – big, beautiful edifices and big names with no clear-cut agenda for missions! Yes, there are many magnificent churches and church buildings today that are living in past glory. Activities without impact of the gospel of Christ! Hear this: The church or her members whose heart and life is not involved in the worldwide proclamation of the gospel is on the way to ruin. God has so designed His plan of world evangelization that every believer is to be vitally and consciously involved. While you pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest, you must also be a willing labourer in your own little corner (Vs 37-38 of today’s scripture). See Romans 10:14, and be a willing DAILY preacher of the gospel. THIS IS WHAT WILL MATTER IN ETERNITY! You can also support missions in your local church so that those on the go would go (Romans 10:15). Let there be no cobwebs over the cause of world missions because of your lack of concern! The harvest is here! LET GOD USE YOU AS YOU GO OUT TODAY! TALK ABOUT JESUS DURING YOUR BREAKTIME TODAY! Wake up! Our Daily Manna 16th November 2024
