Welcome! The beatitudes were not just the random teachings of Jesus. Jesus had just began His ministry and needed to draw the line between the law of Moses and the new dispensation He came to introduce. The beatitudes were foundational teachings on which the Christian faith is anchored upon. They are meant to structure the behavioral pattern of the followers of Christ. Our devotional emphasis today is on Vs. 14 and Vs. 16. Jesus said: “Ye are the light of the world, a city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Halleluyah! Jesus, referring to Himself, said: “I AM THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.” Then, pointing to His audience said, “YE ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD.” That leaves every believer with a task. It is the task of shining and spreading the light of the redeeming grace of Jesus through our lives. Light doesn’t fear darkness, therefore, you should not be ashamed to live and openly declare for Jesus. A secret Christian is like a lamp hidden under a bushel instead of shining openly where it can help others to see! That is not you! There are people around you who are in spiritual darkness and danger; as you go out today/ daily, let the light of God in you shine, lighting on their pathways. You are the Bible they see and read! This year and beyond, the anointing of “I CANNOT BE HIDDEN,” shall locate you by fire! You are a city on a hill. Therefore, you cannot be hidden, silenced and locked up by people, circumstances or battles of life. Yes, your destiny, ministry, business, career, etc cannot be hidden as the year comes to an end! GO FORTH AND SHINE! Yes! YOU MAY BE THE ONLY “JESUS” SOMEOME MAY EVER SEE BEFORE THEY DIE! Peace! Our Daily Manna 26 November 2024
