Years ago, New York Times columnist, David Brooks, extolled Biblical wisdom. He praised Martin Luther King Jr. for insight into human nature derived from Scriptures. He felt that King “had a more accurate view of political realities than his more secular liberal allies because he could draw on Biblical wisdom about human nature. Religion didn’t just make civil rights leaders stronger, it made them smarter.” Wow! No wonder 1 Corinthians 1:18-20 says: “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent. Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?” Questions, questions, questions begging for answers! No matter your wealth of wisdom, it can’t match the wisdom of God. If your wisdom doesn’t agree with God’s Word, it is foolishness! As you journey through life, you need scriptural wisdom to deal with your personal problems. Listen: God has a plan for your life and the enemy also has a plan for your life! WISDOM will enable you to know which one to battle and which one to embrace! God’s Word is His wisdom!
