Verse 10, of our first scripture, says: “Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the later end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich.” These are the words of Boaz. Ruth did not just start the the journey of kindness; SHE CONTINUED ON THAT ROAD. Sometimes, I think about how easy it is to be kind to someone when hundreds around you pity you and despise you. That was the situation that Ruth was in. But SHE REFUSED TO BE PITIED. SHE WAS A STRANGER TO THE COVENANT OF ISRAEL, BUT SHE LAID HOLD OF THAT COVENANT IN A WAY THAT EVEN MANY ISRAELTES DID NOT, AND SHE WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED. I remember the words of Boaz to her in Ruth 2:12, “A full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.”

Wow! Full Reward! OPEN REWARD! This woman’s faith was not the only thing about her that was commended, HER UNENDING KINDNESS WAS ALSO RECOMMENDED. Catch a lesson from this today: Be Kind Unto The End! Keep On Sowing Seeds Of Kindness even when you don’t seem to hear a THANK YOU. Hellfire can never come up with a weed stubborn enough to choke the seeds of kindness that you sow in the lives of people. Those seeds will grow and produce.
