Daily Manna BASIC SCRIPTURE: PSALM 59:1- 17
Here is Psalm 59:1-17 in the King James Version (KJV) with a prayer point and declaration:
Psalm 59:1-17 (KJV)
1 Deliver me from mine enemies, O God: defend me from them that rise up against me.
2 Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.
3 For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me.
4 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adder’s poison is under their lips.
5 Keep me, O God, from the mouth of the lion: thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.
6 Thou hast heard my voice: hide me under the shadow of thy wings.
7 They have set their mouth against the heavens: and their tongue walketh through the earth.
8 Thou hast heard, O God, the prayer of preparation that I made: thou hast covered my head in the day of battle.
9 I will number thee, O God, my strength: the God of my mercy shall be exalted above mine enemies.
10 The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies.
11 Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield.
12 For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: for cursing and lying which they speak.
13 Consume them in wrath, consume them, that they may not be: and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth.
14 And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city.
15 Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied.
16 But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.
17 Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy is my God.
Prayer Point:
Dear God, I ask that you deliver me from my enemies and those who seek to harm me. Keep me under your protection and hide me under the shadow of your wings.
Declaration:
I declare that God is my defense and my refuge in times of trouble. I will sing of His power and mercy, and I will trust in Him to protect me from harm.
May God’s protection and mercy be upon you!
July 2024 Day 5 THE WEEPING 78-YEAR-OLD MAN: BE OVER GRATEFUL!
78-year-old man collapsed and was rushed to hospital. He was given oxygen to support him for 24 hours. After a while, he was better. So the doctor gave him his bill of $500,000, and when he saw the bill, he started crying. The doctor told him not to cry because of the bill. But the man said, “I’m not crying because of the money; I can pay all the money. I’m crying because for only 24 hours of oxygen use, I have to pay $500,000, but I have been breathing the air of God for 78 years and I never pay anything; do you know how much I owe Him?” The doctor lowered his head and burst into tears also. Amazing God! Even as I write today’s devotional, I ask myself this question: FOR THE GIFT OF FREE
AIR/OXYGEN AND FOR THE BREATH OF LIFE, AM I GRATEFUL ENOUGH? Don’t forget that no matter your battles, WHEN THERE IS THAT FREE OXYGEN SUPPLIED BY YOUR CREATOR, THEN THERE IS HOPE AND YOU WILL TESTIFY! Can the dead testify? Stop complaining, getting depressed or feeling inferior! Do you know that you are richer than the dead billionaires of this world? You breathe free air without any price! der His control! Life is All other issues confronting you are under His control! Life is a miracle and every breath that we take is a gift from God! No wonder Joyce Meyer said: “I may not be where I want to be, but thank God I am not where I used to be.” Always remember what Izaak Walton opined: “God has two dwellings; one in heaven, and the other in a meek and thankful heart.” Determine to hold on like DAVID; even when Saul was after his life, he declared boldly in Vs. 16 of today’s scripture: “But I will sing of Thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of Thy mercy in the morning… If you are still breathing God’s free air, it means HE HAS NOT FINISHED WITH YOU! It means YOU ARE WORK-IN-PROGRESS! It means your best days are still ahead! It means you will testify, if you hold on and hold out! Shout 7 halleluiah and sing a song of thanksgiving to God for the gift of FREE OXYGEN!
