ODM TOPIC: CONNECT YOUR HABITS TO YOUR PURPOSE
A Congolese proverb says: “Habit is a full-grown mountain. Hard to get over or to pull down.” A while ago, some people in Paris were asked about their typical daily routine. During working hours, about half admitted to drinking alcohol/ wine. 48 % admitted to stealing one thing or the other. Almost a third admitted that they used illegal drugs. More seriously, 42% admitted they had imagined killing their bosses! Additionally, 22% admitted to having immoral sex in the office. Almost a third admitted to looking at pornography daily on the internet during working hours! Shockingly, 13 % said they will go to bed with their bosses to get a promotion any day! Wow! Heaven is set to visit your life and ministry today and break any yoke or secret evil habit that will disgrace your destiny! The question is: What is your typical day like? What do you do secretly and regularly when no one is watching? Always remember that what you do regularly is your real personality! Remember the powerful importance of linking your habits to your life’s purpose – Philippians 3:8. Avoid destiny killers such as unhealthy relationships, unnecessary phone calls, unnecessary TV times and idle chatter, etc. Break any secret, bad habit and cultivate new and powerful ones afresh! Since a habit is a mental pathway over which our actions have travelled for a long time, you must redirect your new actions along a new pathway till it takes root! Can you imagine someone watching pornography daily? Do you know that many take alcohol, masturbate or fornicate secretly even in church? Publius Syrus said, “Powerful indeed is the empire of habits.” Please use them powerfully to your advantage! Never forget that your taste in life determines your price! Watch it!
