Our Daily Manna For 5th October 2025 Day THE FRENCH WOMEN AND THEIR POISON!

In medieval France, legend says some wives poisoned their husbands with slow-acting poison in the morning, just enough to make them sick if they stayed out late! When the men returned home, their wives would administer the antidote. Over time, the men grew convinced that being away from home was dangerous, but staying close brought healing. As I read that story, the Holy Spirit dropped something in my heart; the devil is the master conditioner. Satan, the father of lies, orchestrates our struggles, our doubts, our despair and troubles, and then whispers that he holds the cure! Tyron Welma cried, “Satan poisons your peace, then sells you a cure laced with chains.” He conditions his victims to believe that his solutions of worldly pleasures, pride or self-reliance will heal the very wounds he caused. But they are all lies! The devil’s strategy is cunning! He slips poison into our lives: a lie that God’s love isn’t enough, that sin satisfies, or a fear that we’re alone. As we weaken, he offers false antidotes to deepen our bondage. No wonder John 8:44 says, “…there is no truth in him.” He holds in captivity those who yearn for his antidote! His subscription-based solutions are never helpful. The enemy wants you to be dependent on his lies, but God’s truth is a one-time, everlasting cure! You don’t have to keep going back to the poison. In Christ, you’re free; not just patched up, but made whole! His healing is not a limited-dose antidote; it’s a complete transfusion of life (1 Peter 2:24). Remember the French women and learn!
