Abraham Lincoln, the great American president, said, “Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.” Joseph passed the test of adversity. And he also passed the test of character. That was why he rose to the top again. If you will maintain your stand and keep doing what you know is right, you will shine; you will prevail! The Bible says that: “The Lord was with Joseph and showed him mercy and gave him favour in the sight of the keeper of the prison”(Genesis 39:21). The favour of the Lord will grant you the kind of access and freedom that a thousand years of labour cannot give you. The favour of God will cause you to shine and enjoy life in places that people have considered to be dungeons. The desire of the enemy was for Joseph to rot in prison, simply because he refused to commit fornication. The devil and his mouthpieces will go to whatever extent they can go to pull you down but the same God who stayed with Joseph and showed him mercy in the prison is with you. He will show you mercy and cause you to rise to the top. He will lift your head above the heads of all your HATERS and they will BOW TO YOU!Never forget to always pray this prayer: “God, grant me the courage not to give up what I think is right even though I think it is hopeless.” Keep doing what you know is right, even when your tomorrow looks bleak! Hold on and hold out!
