Continue from yesterday’s survival story! Remember this part of yesterday’s devotional: “It remained unclear how the siblings, including an 11-month-old baby, managed to survive. The president called them an “example of survival” and predicted their saga “will remain in history.” Indeed wonderful! But just imagine how 3 children and a little 11- month- old baby survived in a forest of wild animals and dangerous snakes! Yesterday’s scripture Vs. 22 says: “We must through much tribulations enter into the kingdom of God.” IT IS A MUST! So don’t wish that things were easy! OUR ROAD IS TOUGH but OUR VICTORY IS SURE! Today’s 2nd scripture Vs. 15 says that CIRCUMSTANCES and ENEMIES SHALL SURELY GATHER against you but because your other name is GRACE, THEY SHALL FALL! No wonder Catherine the Great noted: “I beg you not to give up what I think is right even though I think it is hopeless.” I remember Gilbert K Chesterton: “Courage is almost a contradiction in terms. It means a strong desire to live taking the form of readiness to die.” Wow! Never forget the great Philosopher Horace: “It is courage, courage, courage, that raises the blood of life to crimson splendor. Live bravely and present a brave front to adversity.” Close with Jack Handey: “Never give up! Keep trying and pushing and struggling, even if you don’t know what your goal is or why you would want to achieve it.” Yes! If an 11- month- old baby can survive, then you will survive! Never give up! Hold on, look up and hold out daily!
