TOPIC: ALWAYS PRAY FERVENTLY: “THE GOD OF MY MERCY!”

Welcome! Verses 8 – 10 of today’s scripture says: “But Thou, O LORD, shalt laugh at them; Thou shalt have all the heathen in derision. Because of his strength will I wait upon Thee: for God is my defense (MY HIGH PLACE).The God of my mercy shall prevent me…” Note: 1. THE LORD SHALL LAUGH AT THEM! 2. THE LORD IS YOUR HIGH PLACE – YOUR STRONG TOWER. 3. THE LORD IS THE GOD OF YOUR MERCY!Always PROVOKE GOD’S MERCY IN YOUR PRAYERS! That was why Hebrews 4: 16 says: “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” WE ALL HAVE TIMES OF NEED! At such times, RUN TO THE THRONE OF GRACE! IT IS THAT THRONE OF GRACE THAT CONTAINS THE GOD OF YOUR MERCY! Mercy is what will make God fight your battles! This is because it is not him that willeth or runneth, but God that shows MERCY! Ah! God’s mercy is bigger than any mistake that you have made! So in time of need, you must OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND CONSTANTLY CRY OUT: OH, GOD OF MY MERCY; SHOW UP FOR ME! OH, GOD OF MY MERCY; SHOW UP FOR ME! OH, GOD OF MY MERCY; SHOW UP FOR ME! Ah, the God of your mercy is also the God of your TESTIMONY! Listen to A. W. TOZER: “When Jesus died on the cross the mercy of God did not become any greater. It could not become any greater, for it was already infinite. We get the odd notion that God is showing mercy because Jesus died. No – Jesus died because God is showing mercy. It was the mercy of God that gave us Calvary, not Calvary that gave us mercy. If God had not been merciful there would have been no incarnation, no babe in the manger, no man on a cross and no open tomb.” No matter how 2024 has been, refuse to give up; cry out to God now: OH, GOD OF MY MERCY; SHOW UP FOR ME!
