“ Years ago, the Carnegie Foundation discovered that to be successful on the job, relational skills were far more important than knowledge. Its research found that only 15 percent of a person’s success is determined by job knowledge and technical skills. Eighty-five percent is determined by an individual’s attitude as well as the ability to relate with other people.” How true! Don’t make the mistake of thinking that your knowledge, skill and educational qualifications are enough to take you through life. It may give you motion, but you won’t have balance in life. It may help you to have a foundation, but there will be no bearing. Oh! Beauty may help you to secure a marriage, but beauty without attitude like endurance, patience, anger management, forgiveness, etc, is a disaster-in-waiting. In this year 2024 and indeed in this year of performance, you must learn the attitude of relating well with others. Vs. 32 of today’s Word says: “And be ye kind one to another, tender hearted, forgiving one another, …” Then Matthew 22:39 admonishes: “Love your neighbour as yourself.” Your neighbour is any other person outside you. Listen to Maya Angelou: “People may forget what you said or what you did, but they will never forget HOW YOU MADE THEM FEEL!” Don’t also ever forget that your net worth is determined by your network! You need people to move on to your Promised LAND! Peace!
