The name means “nourished by Jupiter.” Jupiter is the fifth planet from the sun and the largest in the solar system. So at his birth, he was probably used to being called “SON OF JUPITER” – MEANING he was connected to the largest planet in the solar system! Probably that led to his pride! Yes! He also probably thought that the world revolved around him. But he forgot the spiritual law that THE WAY UP IS DOWN! Hear the LOVER OF YOUR SOUL (today’s 2 nd scripture Vs. 11): “For whosoever exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.” It’s an UNCHANGEABLE LAW! He forgot that NOTHING IN LIFE IS PERMANENT! The Holy Ghost is speaking to 111, 497 users of today’s devotional about HUMILITY TODAY! He is saying to someone: “STRUGGLE NOT TO BE SEEN! STOP COMPETING WITH OTHERS IN MY HOUSE! BE MORE HUMBLE BECAUSE I WANT TO DO A NEW THING IN YOUR LIFE AND MINISTRY! Seek my mind! I am MEEK! Dwell in my MEEKNESS and I shall RESTORE what was lost and what was taken from you! Oh halleluiah! Give Him praise now! The great St Augustine penned: “It was pride that changed angels into devils; it is humility that makes men as angels.” Hear Charles Caleb Colton: “Real genius is nothing else but the supernatural virtue of humility in the domain of thought.” Did you get that? Catch this from Lao Tzu: “All streams flow to the ocean because it is lower than they are. Humility gives it its power.”Ah! I once told a very charismatic but proud lady: “HIRE CHARACTER” and that was what healed her marriage! Close with this question: “Do you wish to rise? Begin by descending!
