Most times in life, the fear of opposition, stumbling blocks, and obstacles stop us from moving forward. Truth is, there will always be obstacles and opposition to your throne, but if you insist and persist, they will surely give way. Life gives way to those who are daring and stubborn to opposition! God always moves with those who move, and if God be for you, who or what can be against you? On the early hours of the resurrection morning, before dawn, certain daring women abandoned their sleep and stepped out in the cold night. Where were they all going? To the grave of Jesus! Wow! They stepped out not minding their safety while their male counterparts were indoors sleeping. Their mission was to go and anoint the dead body of Jesus. But, as they came near the tomb, the practical difficulty of moving the heavy stone that sealed the tomb brought them great anxiety. Didn’t they know about the great STONE? I believe they knew because that was the nature of graves then. Graves were sealed with stones! But, they were so consumed with their mission that they didn’t take the stone into account until they came too close. The anxiety of the stone did not make them turn back; they kept going. And when they got there, their fears were groundless; THE STONE HAD ALREADY BEEN ROLLED AWAY (see Vs. 4 of today’s scripture). Oh! GOD TOOK CARE OF THE STONE BEFORE THEY GOT THERE! God will take care of that “stone” – that delay, that obstacle, that disappointment, etc. Hold on to Him! Keep the faith! LOOK UP DAILY! Your life, family and ministry will end in praise!
