ODM Topic: HE KNOWS YOUR NAME! – 2
In today’s scripture, Vs. 42 CLICK HERE TO READ TODAY’S BASIC SCRIPTURE – “And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, He said, ‘Thou art Simon the son of Jonah: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.” Jesus Christ knew him before He met Him! HE CALLED HIS NAME – SIMON (Simon means “reed”). Reed that is easily swayed or bent by the the wind and yes, unstable. Jesus saw Peter as who he would become. An immovable rock whose foundation was Christ (Himself). So He changed his name to “A STONE.” Wow! As 2024 ends, never forget that the LORD knows you and your battles/ weaknesses! See also Vs. 45 – “Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, ‘We have found Him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” Vs. 46 says – “And Nathanael said unto him, ‘Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth?’ Philip saith unto him, ‘Come and see.” Then Vs. 47- “Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and saith of him, ‘Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!” So Jesus KNEW HIM BEFORE HE SAW HIM! Vs. 48 – “Nathanael saith unto Him, ‘Whence knowest Thou me?’ Jesus answered and said unto him, ‘Before that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.” That also is the story of your life! NOTHING ABOUT YOU TAKES THE LORD BY SURPRISE! NOTHING JUST HAPPENS AND NOTHING IS AN ACCIDENT OR A COINCIDENCE! The God you serve is the MASTER PLANNER and HE KNOWS YOU AND YOUR BATTLES! Hold on and hold out! You will NEVER end in shame!
