BASIC SCRIPTURES: 2 KINGS 3: 15;
15 But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him.
MARK 6: 1-6
6 And he went out from thence, and came into his own country; and his disciples follow him.
2 And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?
3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
4 But Jesus, said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them.
6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.

Vs. 15 of today’s 1st scripture says: “But now bring me a minstrel.’ And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him.” When all those kings visited ELISHA, he was disturbed and angry! Thank God for the presence of JEHOSHAPHAT who made a way for the rest of the troubled kings! But the Holy Ghost wants you to know that THE ANOINTING IS NOT MAGIĆ! THE ANOINTING IS NOT LIKE A CAR THAT YOU START AND YOU ZOOM OFF! NO! You MUST CREATE THE ATMOSPHERE FOR YOUR GOD TO MOVE! As anointed as ELISHA was, he could not minister in a disturbed environment. Note today’s 1st scripture Vs. 15: “When the minstrel played, that the hand of the LORD came upon him. A MINSTREL is a skilled, INSPIRED MUSIC CREATOR! Why did the hand of the LORD (the anointing) respond to WORSHIP AND ANOINTED MUSIC? Remember that Jesus Christ Himself could only do a FEW MIRACLES IN NAZARETH, because the atmosphere was ACIDIC and HOSTILE! I have also noticed it in my life and ministry! Sometimes, as I minister, even the cry of a baby can cause the anointing to depart! There were times when my 3 FRIENDS left the ALTAR because the choir sang off key! Wow!
