ODM TOPIC: THE PRIEST AND THE ROBBERS!

The following conversation took place between a priest (name & church withheld) and armed robbers before they shot and killed the priest! The robbers had stopped the vehicle and asked everybody to come down, lie face down and surrender everything in their possession. Priest: “I am a priest of God! Please take whatever you desire.” Robbers: “Shut up your mouth or else we will send you to heaven right away.” The priest then immediately said: “Woe unto those who can destroy the body, but cannot destroy the soul.” Angry at this utterance, the robbers immediately shot him dead and still made away with cash and valuables belonging to the priest and his entourage. Heaven’s emphasis to you today is: To everything, there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heavens (vs. 1 of today’s scripture)! Vs.7b declares further: “…a time to keep silence and a time to speak.” While I stand by the last words spoken by that great priest and wish him eternal rest, the big questions are: 1. Were those words necessary at that time? 2. Would silence have prolonged the days of that priest on earth? 3. Had that priest finished his divine assignment on earth? Questions and questions! Eternity will reveal the answers! Dear child of God, wisdom is the correct application of knowledge! Wisdom provokes the correct application of the Word of God to every situation! Wisdom will teach you when to speak or even shout and when to be silent! A fool knows what to do, without knowing the strategy to do it. So, a fool may have all the knowledge of what is to be done and still end up as a disgraceful failure! Let that not be your story! Use today’s devotional to receive wisdom! We have celebrated Jesus as the power of God in the church, but it’s time to celebrate Jesus as the wisdom of God (See 1 Cor 1: 24). Walk in daily divine wisdom in this 2nd half of 2025! Stir up the wisdom of God in you and then life will produce for you! Knowing the strategy to solve a problem is the difference between failures and winners on this planet! Pursue that wisdom!
