TOPIC: THE GRASSHOPPERS AND THE ANTS!

The story is told about the ant and the grasshopper. The ants were working all summer gathering grain for winter. When winter came and food was scarce, the ants brought out their food to dry them. A grasshopper, famished and perishing from famine, passed by and earnestly begged for little food. The ants asked him, “Why didn’t you store up food during summer? Where were you?’ ‘I didn’t have enough time to get food. I passed the days singing.” The ants laughed at the grasshopper: “If you were foolish enough to sing all summer, you must dance supperless to bed in the winter.” When you refuse to work at the time of work, you will never have anything to eat when harvest comes. The law has been set – seedtime and harvest, summer and winter, day and night. What you do during one season determines what you will enjoy during the following season. Work comes before pleasure! Sowing comes before reaping. Day comes before night. Labour comes before rest. If you choose to rest during the time of labour, you will have no choice but to labour when others are resting and eating the fruit of their labour. May that not be your portion in Jesus name. Hear Edith Sitwell: “Winter is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth, for the touch of a friendly hand and for a talk beside the fire: it is the time for home.” However, if you refuse to work and fill up your storehouse during summer, winter will be a time of suffering for you. It is my prayer that you will work and reap the harvest of your labour. Keep holding on! Keep moving! Keep working! The best is yet to come! OIL OF UNCOMMON GRACE /FAVOUR –
