TOPIC: MAKING HEAVEN TAKES DELIBERATE EFFORT

I saw this quote by Sinisteriu Rex and I screamed: “Wow!” It says, “YOU CANNOT MAKE HEAVEN BY MISTAKE.” Indeed, there is nowhere in the Bible where it was recorded that anyone accidentally stumbled into heaven! Listen: Heaven is a deliberate mission! It is a PREPARED PLACE for a prepared people! It is a purposeful journey fueled by faith, obedience, and grace; not by mistake! No wonder Philippians 2:12 says: “….continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling.” WORK IT OUT! The AMPLIFIED BIBLE PUTS IT THUS: “… continue to work out your salvation [that is, cultivate it, bring it to full effect, actively pursue spiritual maturity] with awe-inspired fear and trembling [using serious caution and critical self-evaluation to avoid anything that might offend God or discredit the name of Christ].” Did you get that? The heavenly race involves, “Serious caution and critical self-evaluation!” Ah! That does not sound like entering heaven by mistake! The other part of that quote will shock you even more! It says: “YOU CAN MAKE HELL BY MISTAKE!” Ha! Ha! HELL BY MISTAKE! So, while the road to heaven requires intentional steps, the road to hell requires a careless one! 2 Peter 1:10 says, “Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble.” Did you get that? “Make every effort!” Heaven is not a surprise party; you have to “RSVP” with your life’s decisions! Your ticket to heaven can only be complete with righteousness, godliness, the determination to live your life for the LORD and for Him alone! Make heaven your goal! Hell is too hot for eternity!
