Verses 22 of today’s 1st scripture says, “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” Take note of the word “do.” It is an ACTION word. It is one word that God does not joke with! DO! DO! DO! Jesus said in Luke 6:46 – “Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I say?” Listen: You cannot say you are following after God and not do what He says! DO NOT ACCEPT CHRIST AS SAVIOUR ONLY! ACCEPT HIM AS LORD ALSO! Ah! Catch this: Psalm 23: 1 did not say – THE SAVIOUR IS MY SHEPHERD! It says – THE LORD is my Shepherd! A LORD is someone you OBEY ALWAYS – even at gunpoint! If you cannot, “DO,” then why call Him Lord? Bruce Lee penned: “Knowing is not enough, we must apply. Willing is not enough, we must do.” Some people think the Word of God ends with hearing it! No wonder they go from church to church looking for the best preacher! Some go to church on Sunday morning and end up in ungodly places by the evening! NO! NO! NO! Abraham heard the Word of God saying, “leave your father’s house” (Genesis 12:1); he did not argue! He did not try to explain to God why he could not leave the comfortable mansion of his father’s house and go traveling to an unknown destination! He took action! Yes! He knew you do not just hear God’s Word, you DO God’s Word and because of his obedience to DO, we have a generational blessing through Abraham. Hallelujah! Beloved, in this 2nd quarter of 2025, hold on to God’s Word and take action on them! Close with this verse from John 13:17 – “Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.” You will end 2025 in great glory! Our Daily Manna ODM 2nd August 2025
