ODM TOPIC: HE COMMITTED SUICIDE AT 16! DISCOVER WHY!
BASIC SCRIPTURE: PSALM 37: 22-29
Years ago, a young man of 19 years, named Zuma (not real name), committed suicide in Harare Zimbabwe because he failed mathematics and physics in a crucial exam! Wow! In a note he dropped for his parents, he wrote: “Sorry to hurt you, mum and dad! My hopes are crashed and life isn’t worth living anymore!” Oh! May his gentle soul continue to rest in eternal peace/mercy! The parents revealed later that he had planned to enroll and read Medicine at the university later that year! He did apologize for hurting his parents, but do you know that the person who was hurt most was not his parents, but himself? Did he know that there is no apology in hell, etc? Do you know that if he had not died, he could have become one of the greatest doctors in Zimbabwe or Africa/the world? Listen child of God, the fact that there is a problem shows that you are alive and you must thank God because dead people do not have problems! Do you know that as long as there is life, there is hope? Mistakes and failures are just feedbacks to show you how to do it better next time as long as you are alive! It’s not how far you fall that matters, but how high you bounce back that makes all the difference! Psalm 37:23-24 says: “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD….though, he falls, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with His hands.” Shout, “Hallelujah!” If you are a child of God, the good news is that you cannot be utterly cast down! That means, YOU MAY BE CAST DOWN, but it can never be totally over with you no matter the matter! God is planning a way out! Refuse the arrows of self-pity or depression! Do you know that lots of believers are angry with God? Please forgive yourself and ‘forgive God.’ Delay is not denial! Failures, delays and mistakes are bridges and not barricades to success! Never forget that 99% of all success stories are built on former failures and mistakes! So why are you crying? Arise, shame the devil and keep going! Our Daily Manna ODM 5th July 2025
