Share this unbelievable wildlife story with me. When a wasp (an insect group) finds a caterpillar, it stings it. But it doesn’t kill it. Instead the sting does something worse. The caterpillar keeps living like normal. It doesn’t know that death is growing inside it. Days pass and then one day, the eggs hatch. The hatchlings, which are like tiny worms, larvae, start eating the caterpillar from the inside. They devour the same caterpillar that nurtured them. Take note, the caterpillar did not start dying from the sting, neither because the tiny larvae ate it! NO! It died from what it allowed to grow inside it! Did you get that? You can apply this in 2 ways – 1. Your thoughts – what you think, you become; what you feel, you attract; and what you imagine, you create! Nothing can dim the light which shines from within! There are people who think/fear in their minds – “I wish this doesn’t happen…” and then, “GBAAAAMMMM! BOOOOOM!” The thing happens as they feared! Why? They were thinking of it and fearing it! Instead of thinking what is not, think what you want in your life to happen! You are surely the result of what you have thought of (See Prov. 23: 7a)! You become what your mind thinks of or fears secretly! AVOID NEGATIVE THOUGHTS seriously! 2. SIN! – Hear what James 1:15 says, “Sin, when it is finished, brings death.” What you tolerate will eventually consume you. Just like the wasp’s larvae, sin feeds on the sinner. It survives by growing stronger inside his/her silence (compromise). And here’s the scary part: it cannot survive unless it kills the sinner! Either it dies, or the sinner dies! It hates cohabitation! As 2025 ends, if there is something in your life you are hiding, tolerating, or excusing, know this; it will not stay small! It is eating slowly and quietly! And it will devour its victim unless it is confronted with fire and repentance. John Owen cried, “Kill sin before it kills you.” Now is the time to cry out like David: “Search me, O God…see if there is any wicked way in me” (Psalm 139:23–24).
