ODM TOPIC: THE MYSTERY OF UNMARKED GRAVES!
Several individuals throughout history have requested or have been buried in unmarked graves for various reasons, including avoiding attention, religious modesty or a desire for simplicity. Some prominent examples include Genghis Khan, John Calvin, and General Paul Tibbets. Also, an elderly man who had carefully built a successful business and had more money than he could spend, told a friend of mine that he was so unhappy and felt unloved by his heirs. He dreaded dying! Marked or unmarked graves are all VANITY! Ah! After trying every form of pleasure seeking, king Solomon concluded about LIFE: “It is vanity and grasping the winds.” The Amplified Bible says, “A striving after the wind” (vs. 11 of today’s scripture). It’s not a sin to ‘enjoy life,’ but when you sleep more than you pray, then you are striving after the wind. When you eat more of physical food to nourish your body than the Word of God to nourish your soul, then you are grasping the wind. When you cannot fast and pray but can spend hours before TV sets watching films, then you are in the danger list of life! When you spend your money to buy clothes, shoes or great perfumes but your offering/tithe or Bible is old and outdated, then you should dial your heavenly 911 for help! Why? Because pleasure is about to steal your crown! When did you have your private night VIGIL prayers last? Are you really so sure that your name is still in the Book of Life? Worldly pleasure is anything that chokes (crowds) the Word and aggressive praying out of your life. Vanity of vanities, all is vanity. Declare several times now: “Nothing worldly or pleasurable shall excite or overwhelm me again! I refuse to lose my crown! In this 2nd half of 2025, I shall be like Jesus daily. I shall re-fire my Word and prayer life again.” Amen!
