Recall from yesterday’s devotional story that the rich billionaire met the poor old man outside the gate of his mansion battling with cold because he was homeless. He promised to come back as soon as possible with warm clothes for the poor old man, but he completely forgot because it was not in his usual nature to do that! The question here is: “Why didn’t he in the first instance give shelter to the poor old man for the night? Yes, he had the capacity to change that poor old man’s life entirely, but he didn’t. Proverbs 19:17 says: “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will He pay him again.” What the Holy Ghost is saying to a user of today’s devotional is, God did not bless you so that you should consume it upon your lusts alone (James 4:3). God blesses you so that you can reach out and lend a helping hand to the less privileged. Dear rich man/woman and dear middle class man/woman, who is at your street or personal gate? Have you taken time to check them out concerning their welfare? What about the poor in your local church, street corner or neighborhood? Can you leave your comfort zone and sometimes visit the suburbs and slums around you and who knows whether you COULD FIND YOUR ASSIGNMENT THERE? May God use you to change somebody’s storyline this year in Jesus name! Peace! ODM ANNUAL MONTH OF MERCY – JUNE 2024! Next month is ODM ANNUAL month of MERCY! It is a Month dedicated to do Charity work and to show Practical Love! This should be done throughout the month wherever you are! It should involve visiting Orphanages, Hospitals, Elderly people’s homes, etc.

indeed this year in Jesus name. - Father, help me to locate my assignment through the troubles
and challenges I see around me in Jesus name. - I refuse to be a promise and fail specialist this year.
- I refuse to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the plight of the
poor this year. - Pray about any other issue(s) affecting your peace!
