Welcome to today’s devotional! Share with me the story below by pastor Paul Walker concerning his salvation experience! “During my lifetime, I was instructed by many different Sunday school teachers, but only one stands out in my memory. He was a big, red-faced ex-Marine, who probably broke every rule and technique of good teaching. The thing I remember best about him is how much he loved us. At the end of each session, he would say, ‘Boys, let’s take time to kneel and talk to the Lord. Then, he would try to put his big arms around all nine of us as we huddled together, and he would pray for each of us by name. Are you surprised that seven of those boys are now in the ministry, and that I am one of them?” Wow! May God bless and reward faithful men! Never you take for granted what you do in life and especially in your local church and the Body of Christ in general. History will never forget your work, and nature has a way of paying you back. That’s why you must be committed to what you do by putting in all your best, finding a way to always make it better by making allowance for improvement! If God has entrusted destinies into your hands to nurture whether as a pastor, Sunday school teacher, house fellowship teacher, Bible people God used to nurture us at different times and various stages of our lives. Paul said he commended himself as a minister of God “by kindness, by the Holy Spirit, by sincere love” (Vs. 6 of today’s Word). Apostle Paul was such a dedicated teacher and leader, and we are still beneficiaries of his ministry. Let us learn from the teacher of pastor Paul Walker today. Yes, the earnest attention he gave and the spiritual concern he showed toward each pupil is a beautiful example of the importance of teaching by love! As 2024 ends, SHOW MUCH LOVE IN CHURCH AND OUT OF CHURCH! Let people see LOVE in your smile, etc! Be a solution to someone as you go out today! Peace!
