Welcome to another devotional hour! There was a time when a beloved Christian sister lost all her lovely children to armed robbers! They were killed when the robbers mistook their car for the entourage of Mrs. Iyabo Obasanjo Bello, the daughter of the former president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo! Their mother (names withheld) said that rather than question God, she decided to accept His utmost authority in her life! She said, “I have come to know that God’s thoughts towards me are for good and that the expected end would be even better. I had them a bit late in my reproductive life, but I have to realize that I am not in charge. There is someone bigger and greater than I. The ultimate Creator is in charge. I submit to whatever He allows.” Can you beat that? In one day, she lost all her children and yet she was saying God is in control! Ah! She is a faithful believer and yet God -allowed it to happen! Dear child of God, you must note that vs. 6 of today’s 1st scripture says, “the oxen shook the cart and the Ark of the Lord.” Note that sometimes in your life, family and ministry, your Ark may shake! It does not matter how faithful you are to God! There are seasons when the Ark and the cart carrying the Ark will shake! There is a season when everyone goes through ARK-SHAKING CHALLENGES! Please when the Ark shakes, don’t rush to use your brain to stabilize it! Wait on the Lord! Don’t run around people! Wait on the Lord! God will not allow the Ark in you (your salvation) to be disgraced! He knows what you are going through and He will make a way of escape! Uzzah in today’s scripture wanted to help God and he ended up in the mortuary! Please wait on God even when you are too old to cry, but it hurts too much to laugh! Rev. Norman Vincent Peale said, “Every problem has in it the seeds of its own solution. If you don’t have any problems, you don’t get any seeds.” When your Ark shakes, hold on! Trust God! Look up!
