ODM TOPIC: VISIT THE ‘DAMMAM MIRACLE’ AGAIN! NEVER, NEVER GIVE UP!
The “The Dammam Miracle” was the name given to the result of a quarter-final football match played at the Prince Mohamed bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, between the Nigerian U-20 football team and the USSR U-20 football team at the 1989 FIFA World Youth Championship in Saudi Arabia in which the Nigerian U-20 team went on to win on penalties. The match created a football record as Nigeria became the first team to come back from four goals down to equalize and then go on to win a FIFA World Cup match at any level. Wow! Up till date, how the Flying Eagles of Nigeria won the tension-soaked match over Russia even when they were 4 goals down and just less than I0 minutes to the end of the game, is still a mystery and a wonder! I personally have a tape recording of that match! That match shows that in any event or circumstance in life and ministry, it’s not over, till it’s over! It shows clearly that even at the dying minute, a miracle can still happen! Before the last day of this 2025, ANYTHING GOOD CAN STILL HAPPEN! THAT EXPECTATION CAN STILL HAPPEN! A last-minute MIRACLE is still possible! Listen: 10 minutes to the end of that match, the stadium had become nearly empty and most TV sets in Nigeria had been turned off in anger and disappointment! But within 9 minutes, 4 goals were scored and Nigeria eventually won the match! Please never, never give up! For the resolute and determined, there is time and opportunity! Assuming Zechariah and Elizabeth gave up! They were weak, but did not quit! Please hold on! Charles the president of GE Electronics said, “No matter what the size of the bottle is, the cream always rises to the top.” No tyranny or circumstance can permanently imprison a determined soul! There is no process without a promise! Every setback has a divine comeback plan! A misty morning does not signify a cloudy day! Stop that depression! Don’t give up now! Hold on to God!
