“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew 7:7
n today’s verse, Jesus speaks directly to our hearts with an invitation that is as simple as it is profound. He urges us to take the initiative in our relationship with God: to ask with the assurance of receiving, to seek with the certainty of finding, and to knock with the expectation of an opening.
This verse isn’t about presenting a wishlist but entering into a dynamic interaction with our Creator. It is about approaching God with confidence, whether we come with requests, hopes, or seeking deeper understanding. The promise is clear—our active engagement will be met with God’s active response.
Today, let’s not hold back. Let’s ask for guidance, seek His presence, and knock on the door of new opportunities, assured that God is both listening and longing to respond.

What have I been reluctant to ask of God? How can I seek His heart more earnestly today? What closed doors might swing open if only I boldly knock in faith?
Prayer of the Day Dear God,
This morning, I come to You with open hands and an open heart. I ask for Your blessings, knowing Your storehouses are full. I seek Your truth, aware that You desire to reveal Your wonders to me. I knock on the doors of opportunity, trusting that You will lead me into the paths You have prepared.
May I live out this day in active pursuit of Your kingdom, confident that You are faithful to answer, reveal, and open according to Your perfect will.In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
