It was Charles Deems who humbly penned: “The incarnation of God is a necessity of human nature. If we reap and truly have a Father, we must be able to clasp His feet in our penitence, and to lean on His breast in our weary sorrowfulness.” Yes! Incarnation means God became man! And that was not done FOR NOTHING! These 21 days which begins tomorrow will BRING YOU INTO A NEW EXPERIENCE OF SEEING GOD TRANSFORM HIMSELF INTO A REALITY THAT CANNOT BE DENIED – PERFORMANCE! No matter how your past fasting programmes have been, always remember that: FAITH IS ABOUT ASKING GOD WHEN YOU HAVE UNANSWERED QUESTIONS! Determine to BEGIN THIS YEAR WITH SOME LITTLE PAIN – FASTING! Remember that God will not look you over for degrees, diplomas or medals; He will look for SCARS and these scars (pain) are your ladder to His STARS! This 21-day fasting program (January 6th- 26th) is a time to commit an unknown future to a known God! Why worry or fear this year? Hear the whispers of Corrie Ten Boom: “Any concern too small to be turned into a prayer is too small to be made into a burden.” “Whether we realize it or not, prayer is the encounter of God’s thirst with ours. God thirsts that we may thirst for Him! Prayer is not eloquence, but earnestness; not the definition of helplessness, but the feeling of it; not figures of speech, but earnestness of soul” (Hannah More). Oh, how I love Edwin Keith: “Prayer is exhaling the spirit of man and inhaling the Spirit of God.” Never forget Spurgeon: “Groaning which cannot be uttered are often prayers which cannot be refused.” To groan is to make a deep, long sound showing great pain or unhappiness: DETERMINE TO GROAN IN THESE 21 DAYS AND YOU CANNOT BE REFUSED! Determine to tell God again: “LORD, I AM NOT SATISFIED! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! STRETCH FORTH YOUR HAND OF PERFORMANCE! SHOW THROUGH MY LIFE AND MINISTRY THAT YOU ARE GOD.” Be like the WIDOW in today’s scripture! Pray now!
