Samson missed it when he disclosed the secret of his strength to Delilah (Judges 16). King David missed it and wandered far away from God when he took Uriah’s wife and set him up for elimination (2 Samuel 11). Apostle Peter missed it when he denied Christ three times (John 18). Their stories however, did not end with the mistakes they made. Each one of them found a way and got back to God. They all exploited the opportunity of God’s mercy and made it back to Him. This is because God gives everyone who has made a mistake a chance to make amends. Like Peter in today’s scripture, a heroic “welcome back home” awaits you once you are ready to make it up and return to God – THE GOD OF ANOTHER CHANCE (John 21: 15-17). Hear what God says, “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow, though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18). Heaven rejoices whenever someone who has sinned returns back to God (Luke 15:4-7, 10). Always pray this prayer: “Dear Past, thank you for your lessons. Dear Future, I’m Ready. Dear God, Thank You for giving me another chance.” Pray seriously now!
