Yesterday’s devotional story continues today! The story brings to the fore two major tragedies. Firstly, the prince never lived to enjoy the luxury of the $280-million dollar aircraft; secondly, despite the beauty (glory the jet carried), no one showed interest in buying or taking it over! We find scenarios like this play out in our lives every time. I have seen beautiful, well-made products on display for sale in shops/super marts etc, and no one cared about them or would look in their direction, whereas the same products or those of inferior quality are quickly picked up or bought up elsewhere. I have seen beautiful ladies, both in and out of church that no one would ask out, or take for a date or dinner. I have seen young handsome men that fail in almost every marriage proposal. It is as if their glory is covered. I have seen and heard of qualified people, with good degrees/wonderful skills, apply for jobs that they never got, whereas less qualified and less competent persons have landed those jobs. Several things can happen to glory; it can depart or be lost (1 Sam.4:21), stolen (Gen.25), buried or even exchanged (Gen. 48), thereby rendering the glory useless. In today’s Word, the Psalmist exclaimed thus(Vs.8), “Awake up, my glory; psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.” I command the glory of your life, family and ministry which is in any net to awake in 2024, in Jesus name. You will not be like that Boeing 747 that went to waste and was scrapped at last! You will never be like that Saudi Prince! Your glory will never be wasted. Arise and pray seriously now!
