TOPIC: THE POSTCARD STORY: BE AN AGENT OF HOPE
A 15-year-old boy was diagnosed of leukemia (cancer of the white blood cells). Knowing how fatal leukemia could be, he became discouraged, despite all efforts of medical personnel to encourage him while in the hospital. One day, he got a bunch of flowers from his aunty with a card and yet another card, which was thought to be a mistake! The boy opened the card anyway and the message read, “…I had leukemia when I was seven years old. I am 22- years old now. My heart goes out to you! Good luck!” The boy’s face brightened up for the first time since the diagnosis. It was the sales clerk that took his special orders that slipped in this card! Can you quantify the amount of hope the sales clerk gave to this sick boy? Can you imagine the hope of salvation Jesus Christ gave by that little show of friendship? It is so unimaginable what our encouraging words, show of friendship/kindness can do to a dying or perishing soul. Forget yourself a little! Despite your personal problems and needs, reach out to lives today and daily in this 2nd half of 2025! God will make happen for you, what you make happen for others! Be an agent of hope!
