ODM DAILY TOPIC: LESSONS FROM YOUR PAST!
Today’s scripture CLICK HERE FOR BASIC SCRIPTURE READING Vs. 62 says: “And Jesus said unto him, ‘No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” He was saying that looking back will keep you from all that God has for you! See the lessons from your past and why YOU MUST LOOK INTO YOUR TOMORROW: 1. IT WAS YOUR “PROFESSOR” IN THE UNIVERSITY OF LIFE! YES! IT WAS YOUR LECTURER AND YOUR TEACHER! You lived through it, you learned from it, now it’s time to move on from it. Wow! 2. What’s over is over, what’s done is done. Face the future and keep on keeping on. 3. Thirdly, reach out to God. Invite Jesus into every room in the house of your heart. Often, we have invited Him into the front room (by accepting Jesus as our Savior)— but not the bedroom, kitchen, or garage. 4. Fourthly, face the world again. Don’t hide in a shell or withdraw so you don’t get hurt again. Move forward. Learn to live again. 5. Your past is not your future. It doesn’t matter what you’ve done, who you’ve done it with, or how long you’ve done it. Throughout Scripture, God forgives murderers, adulterers, and slackers, and He uses them to do His work in the world. 6. You too, have a great future ahead of you. Put your heart right, reach out to God, and face the world again. 7. You have to move beyond the past before you can find your way to the future. GOOD NEWS!
