But when the pandemic grounded her job as cabin crew for a major airline, she went from a comfortable existence to barely making rent. Listen to her: “My existence and lifestyle changed aggressively. I went from flying around the world and visiting different countries to being at home with two kids, alone, with little income. I was trying to make things, make cleaning products myself, my toothpaste myself, make baking soda. And I’ve got two little children. But it wasn’t going very well. The smell of white vinegar as a cleaning product wasn’t something they enjoyed, and baking soda wasn’t something they could tolerate.” Life turned to a point where she had to seek for help from a food bank, where she could get soap, toothpaste, toilet rolls and washing-up liquid, etc. Oh! I remember Charlie CHAPLIN: “Nothing is permanent in this life, not even our troubles! Indeed nothing is forever except change!” As you go through life, always PLAN AND PRAY because FORTUNES CAN CHANGE due to pandemics, circumstances, etc. I always remind people of what Chanakya wrote: “Learn from the mistakes of others. You can’t live long enough to make them all yourselves.” I have seen the rich become poor and I have seen the poor become rich! This lady was very comfortable but suddenly became a beggar! Ecclesiastes 9: 11 says, “I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” That is why you must be good to the people around your life, family and ministry now! MAKE FRIENDS BECAUSE NOBODY KNOWS TOMORROW! We all need a strong support system! When fortune changes, be courageous and determined, because God can give you a REBOUND AND A TURNAROUND!
