Welcome to this new quarter! I am sorry that today’s scripture reading is ending with a tragedy (a sad note).
Here was a man who had opportunities to conquer nations because the God of Israel was his Commander-in-Chief, but ended up as a captive, because of a misused opportunity! May no man take your opportunities! Saul said, “God answered me no more neither by prophets nor by dreams”(verse 15). How the mighty are fallen! Misused opportunity leads to servanthood (slavery) and dryness! Jesus wept only two times publicly in His lifetime! He wept at the grave of Lazarus and He wept over Jerusalem (Luke 19:41) because the Jews rejected their only opportunity of salvation.
The consequences in Luke 19: 43 and 44 is summarized by the word, “Slavery,” because “they knew not the time of their visitation.” There was a time the Nigerian naira to dollar exchange rate was 60 kobo to 1 dollar. INCREDIBLE! At that time, just 100 million naira, would have been enough to construct two medium scale factories, in each of the local government areas of the country! OPPORTUNITY MISSED DUE TO CORRUPTION! Cry for my beloved country! This quarter begins today and your life, family and ministry are going to end in PRAISE this year! May God restore all your lost opportunities on this planet since you were born! I decree: OPPORTUNITY WASTERS will SCATTER by FIRE! I see the LORD giving someone a second chance! Yea, I see Him giving 14,390 people a 3rd chance! I see the next quarter 2026, full of GREATER GLORY! Refuse to be depressed!
