BASIC SCRIPTURE:

PROVERBS 11:23-31 (KJV)

Passage:

23 The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath.
24 There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.
25 The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.
26 He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it.
27 He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.
28 He that trusteth in his riches shall fall; but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.
29 He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart.
30 The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.
31 Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.

PRAYER FOR PROVERBS 11:23-31

Opening Prayer:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the wisdom found in Your Word, especially in these verses from Proverbs. We ask for the grace to align our desires with Your will, seeking only what is good and righteous. Help us to be generous, diligent, and trusting in You, knowing that true prosperity comes from living according to Your principles. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

DECLARATIONS BASED ON PROVERBS 11:23-31

  1. Declaration of Righteous Desires:
I declare that my heart’s desire is for all things good and pleasing to God. My expectations are rooted in faith and righteousness, knowing that the wicked will face judgment while the righteous will experience Your blessings.
  2. Declaration of Generosity:
I declare that I will scatter freely, trusting that as I give, I will receive abundantly. I will not hoard or withhold out of fear, for I know that generosity leads to increase, while selfishness leads to poverty.
  3. Declaration of Blessing:
I declare that I will be a blessing to others, and in turn, I will be blessed. As I water others with kindness, encouragement, and provision, I will also be refreshed and replenished by Your favor.
  4. Declaration of Seeking Good:
I declare that I will diligently seek good in all areas of my life, knowing that this brings favor from God and man. I will avoid seeking mischief or harm, understanding that such actions invite trouble into my life.
  5. Declaration of Trust in God:
I declare that I will not trust in riches or material possessions, for they can fail me. Instead, I will trust in You, O Lord, and live righteously, flourishing like a healthy branch rooted in Your love.
  6. Declaration of Wisdom in Winning Souls:
I declare that I will be wise in winning souls for Christ, knowing that this is one of the greatest fruits of righteousness. My life will reflect the “tree of life,” bringing eternal blessings to those around me.
  7. Declaration of Earthly and Eternal Rewards:
I declare that the righteous shall be rewarded even in this life, and much more so in eternity. I choose to live righteously now, confident in the promise of Your recompense.

REFLECTION QUESTIONS:

  1. How can I ensure that my desires and expectations align with God’s will for my life?
  2. In what ways can I practice generosity without fear, trusting that God will provide for my needs?
  3. What steps can I take to seek good diligently and avoid causing harm or mischief?
  4. How can I cultivate a heart of trust in God rather than relying on worldly riches or achievements?
  5. How can I use my influence to win souls for Christ and bear the “fruit of the righteous”?

Let us embrace the wisdom of Proverbs and commit ourselves to living lives marked by righteousness, generosity, and trust in God. Amen.
