BASIC SCRIPTURE: For 11 June 2024
BASIC SCRIPTURE: GALATIANS 6: 1 – 10

Dear God, help us to restore those who have fallen, just as Galatians 6:1 encourages, and may your love and grace abound in our church family.

Lord, we thank you for the privilege of bearing one another’s burdens, as Galatians 6:2 commands, and may our love and support for each other be a testimony to your grace.

God, help us to fulfill the law of Christ by loving and serving one another, just as Galatians 6:2 teaches, and may our service be a sacrifice of praise to you.

We praise you, Lord, for the promise that we will reap what we sow, as Galatians 6:7-8 reminds us, and may our lives be marked by sowing seeds of love, kindness, and generosity.

Father, help us to not grow weary in doing good, as Galatians 6:9 encourages, and may our perseverance be rewarded with eternal life and glory.

Lord, we thank you for the privilege of doing good to all people, especially our fellow believers, as Galatians 6:10 commands, and may our good deeds be a testimony to your love.

God, help us to walk in the Spirit and not in the flesh, as Galatians 6:8 warns us, and may our lives be marked by the fruit of the Spirit.

We praise you, Lord, for the promise of eternal life and glory, which we will receive if we persevere in doing good, as Galatians 6:8-9 promise, and may our hope be anchored in your love and grace.

Father, help us to be mindful of the needs of others and to show compassion and kindness, just as Galatians 6:1-2 encourage us, and may our love be genuine and practical.

Lord, we thank you for the privilege of being part of your church family, and may our fellowship be sweet and meaningful, just as Galatians 6:10 encourages us.

Verse: “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” (Galatians 6:1)
Prayer: Dear God, help me to restore those who have fallen, with meekness and humility. Give me wisdom to approach them with love and compassion. Help me to consider my own weaknesses and vulnerabilities, that I may be gentle and understanding towards others.
Declaration: I am an instrument of restoration in the hands of God, helping others to rise from their falls with meekness and humility.
Verse: “Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2)
Prayer: Lord Jesus, enable me to bear the burdens of others, that I may fulfill your law of love and service. Help me to be a supportive and caring member of your body, the church.
Declaration: I am a burden-bearer, helping others to carry their loads with ease, and fulfilling the law of Christ.
Verse: “For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.” (Galatians 6:3)
Prayer: God, help me to stay humble and grounded, recognizing my limitations and dependence on you. Keep me from self-deception and pride, that I may remain teachable and open to your guidance.
Declaration: I am humble and dependent on God, acknowledging my nothingness apart from Him.
Verse: “But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another.” (Galatians 6:4)
Prayer: Lord, help me to focus on my own walk with you, rejoicing in your work in me, rather than comparing myself to others. Give me a sense of personal accomplishment and joy in my relationship with you.
Declaration: I am focused on my own journey with God, rejoicing in His work in me.
Verse: “For every man shall bear his own burden.” (Galatians 6:5)
Prayer: God, help me to carry my own burdens, relying on your strength and grace. Give me the courage to face my challenges and the wisdom to seek help when needed.
Declaration: I am responsible for my own life, carrying my burdens with God’s help.
Verse: “Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.” (Galatians 6:6)
Prayer: Lord, enable me to share what I have received from you with others, supporting those who teach and minister to me. Give me a heart of generosity and a willingness to bless others.
Declaration: I am a cheerful giver, sharing what I have with others.
Verse: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” (Galatians 6:7)
Prayer: God, help me to sow seeds of love, kindness, and generosity, knowing that I will reap what I sow. Give me wisdom to make good choices and to trust in your promise.
Declaration: I am a sower of good seeds, expecting a harvest of blessings from God.
Verse: “For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.” (Galatians 6:8)
Prayer: Lord, help me to sow to the Spirit, reaping eternal life and glory. Give me a heart that desires to please you and to live for your kingdom.
Declaration: I am a sower to the Spirit, expecting a harvest of eternal life.
Verse: “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” (Galatians 6:9)
Prayer: God, help me to persevere in doing good, trusting in your promise of a harvest. Give me the strength to keep going, even when the journey gets tough.
Declaration: I am persistent in doing good, trusting in God’s promise.
Verse: “As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:10)
Prayer: Lord, enable me to do good to all, especially to my fellow believers, as opportunities arise. Give me a heart of love and compassion, that I may be a blessing to others.
Declaration: I am a doer of good, especially to those in the household of faith
