What exactly happened in WW1 when the Germans and Russians made a “wolf truce” to kill wolves? Listen: The Wolf Truce took place in Tannenberg in 1917; German and Russian troops were fighting each other in the Kaunas and Vilnius region of Lithuania and the Minsk region of Belarus. Out of nowhere, starving wolves started gathering there in huge numbers and started attacking the troops. The soldiers used all possible ways to withstand the animal attacks by using grenades, poison and machine guns while fighting each other but the hungry wolves kept attacking humans (the soldiers). Germans and Russians who were enemies a day earlier decided to call a ceasefire and join arms to hunt down the wolves before resuming the fight between each other. The gradually rounded up, and eventually several hundred of them were killed. The others fled in all directions, making their escape wolves were from destruction the like of which they had never encountered. So, the wolves made the two enemies to become friends. And what the Holy Ghost is saying to a user of today’s devotional is that God can use an enemy to connect you to your destiny! God used wolves to unite two enemies during WW1. God can also use you as a 3rd party to unite a family, a group of friends and two enemies! That is what Romans 14:19 says: “So then let us pursue what makes for peace and for mutual up building.” Yes! As 2022 ends and 2023 begins, you are not a wolf, but let God use you to restore peace wherever you go daily – in your local church, family or office, etc. Daily Manna 17 October 2022
