BULLET 4: Not Being Good Enough: As children, we feared the monsters living in our wardrobes. We begged our parents not to turn the lights out. And no matter what, we never looked under the bed, just in case one was hiding under there. The feeling of not being good enough is by far the biggest and ugliest MONSTER YOU WILL ENCOUNTER IN THIS YEAR 2024! Don’t allow it! I remember Jussie Smollett: “There’s not one human being on the planet earth who has never felt, at some point, unaccepted. At some point in our lives, we feel like we’re not good enough, but we have to step back and realize that we are.” You are good enough because GOD DOES NOT CREATE A “NOBODY.” Did God not use Moses as a murderer? Yes! God used Peter who denied Jesus at a crucial hour of His life! God used RAHAB, an international prostitute! As a young pastor, after resigning from PHARMACY to obey the call, I used to worry about whether I was good enough for the call. It took me a while to realize that this worry was only holding me back from being my best for God! Once I let go of this fear and started to believe in GOD’S GRACE and my abilities, things started changing! In the long run, what truly matters is doing your best, learning, growing, and understanding that you are enough just as you are! Close with Joel Osteen: “People will try to label you not good enough, too slow, too old, too many mistakes. You can’t stop negative comments or prevent negative labels, but you can choose to not let them hold you back.” So in this year 2024, stop worrying about not being good enough – because you are! Pray seriously now!
