Welcome to today’s devotion of spiritual enlightenment. Listen! The enemy’s biggest weapon is not his power, but your untamed desires. A certain man by the name of Victor Lustig, a con artist, decided to pose as a government official in order to carry out one of the biggest scams in history. He was going to sell one of the seven wonders of the world, the Eiffel Tower, for scrap metal.

As unimaginably bogus as that sort of scam may sound, he actually saw it through and Lustig was able to deceive his victims by creating an elaborate ruse, convincing them that he was a trustworthy authority figure and that they were making a good deal. Well, his victims fell for it because the profit was TOO MUCH to pass. Wow!
What a scam! Understand this, the devil does not tempt you with things you don’t want, rather, he tempts you with things you want TOO MUCH and SO MUCH. TOO MUCH will make you vulnerable to spiritual scammers.
TOO MUCH will blind you from pursuing God’s will for your life. That was how a man was also duped by con men by telling him that they wanted to sell my country’s national airport – MURTALA MOHAMMED INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, LAGOS!
Well, somebody fell for that crazy lie! Ah! “TOO MUCH” will make you vulnerable to the devil. The LORD Jesus did not give in to the devil’s temptations because He knew the truth and trusted in God’s plan for His life!
GREED WILL MAKE YOU NOT TO PRAY THROUGH DEALS! GREED WILL MAKE YOU TO HURRY! Hear me: The devil is a master of deception! Yes he is, and he knows exactly how to tempt you. It was Lao Tzu that said “Desire is the root of all suffering, and untamed desires are the seeds of chaos.” The Bible tells us that Jesus was also tempted by the devil in the wilderness. In Matthew 4:1-11, Jesus tamed His desires and defeated that old fool – the devil! Your untamed desires are the enemy’s biggest weapon, but your self-control is your greatest defense.
THE HOLY GHOST IS SPEAKING TO YOU TODAY ABOUT SELF-CONTROL, GREED AND TAMING YOUR EXPECTATIONS! Refuse to be DESPERATE FOR ANYTHING!
Don’t be attached to things or people! As 2023 ends, the devil is out to sell you an “Eiffel Tower.” WATCH IT! (Give out ODM COPIES as led. Your testimony could be tied to it)!
