Years ago, a lady was found dead after a stray bullet from a police officer hit her on her way to work one early morning. But in another breath, we still thank God for the life she lived.

A life that can be easily summarised by the poem found in her skirt pocket which is supposed to be a great message she left behind for her generation: Captioned, ‘How to be happy’ the poem reads: “Keep your heart from hate, your mind, Free from worry, live simple!

These are the tried truths in contentment golden chain.” Wow! What a golden message. As you pass through your life’s journey, remember that poem and what Paul said: “Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say, Rejoice.”
Note the word, “Always” (Philippians 4:4). Rejoice in the storm, rejoice in the sun, rejoice in the prison, rejoice in the palace. You should determine to be happy always in this year 2023. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, BUT the LORD will DELIVER YOU fromTHEMALL!Shout“7halleluiahs”now.

Neverallowouter daily circumstances to affect your happiness and joy! Your happiness should be a decision you have to make. Why should you allow a person (church members, ex-spouse, past relationships, office colleagues, your boss, family members, wife, husband, children), etc, to affect your inner peace and happiness? Life is too brief for that!
Read that pocket poem above again and close with this: Great praise often grows out of great pain! Hold on!
Look to God! Hold out!
