Moira Deeming’s Launch: The Room Was Buzzing (and $90k Raised)
Moira Deeming’s re-election campaign has energised Family First supporters, raising $90,000 as the party prepares for a crucial Victorian election and a potential breakthrough.
Two Saturday afternoons ago, 150 members and supporters gathered in western Melbourne to launch Moira Deeming’s re-election campaign.
There was genuine buzz and excitement.
Because the big parties rigged the system, Family First had almost no chance in Victoria. Then the Liberals unjustly kicked Moira out again. She joined Family First and has put the party within striking distance of winning.
That’s why the room was electric. Her profile as a courageous fighter for families, combined with your support, is making the difference.
A Massive Boost for the Campaign
Thank you — wherever you live in Australia — for backing Moira. Your support has raised $90,000 in a short period, much of it from outside Victoria. That’s an extraordinary effort on our way to a $300,000 campaign budget.
Billboards are up, and television ads have been produced.
This is what I love about the Family First family. It doesn’t matter where in Australia the election is — you and I take a strategic approach.
Pre-poll is just two weeks away, and Family First needs as many volunteers as possible to flood the zone in Western Metro.

Podcast
This week, I speak with Dan Ryan about National Conservatism. Before you tune out, hear me out. In politics, ideas matter. Dan has been challenging the assumptions of the centre-right and asking whether it is time to move away from the free-trade ideology of the Howard-Abbott years.
Perhaps we should prioritise the sovereign capability that certain manufacturing industries, like car-making, bring. The more I’ve heard of National Conservatism, the more it resonates. This conversation is just a taster. Let me know what you think.

ODM Daily Commentary
Let’s be honest: Moira Deeming has been treated shamefully by the Liberal Party. She was unjustly kicked out. She was smeared. She was abandoned. But she didn’t give up. She joined Family First. And now, she is within striking distance of winning.
The article from Family First reports on her campaign launch in western Melbourne. 150 members and supporters gathered. The room was buzzing. There was genuine excitement. Because the big parties rigged the system, Family First had almost no chance in Victoria. But Moira’s profile as a courageous fighter for families has changed everything.
The fundraising is extraordinary. $90,000 raised in a short period, much of it from outside Victoria. The campaign budget is $300,000. Billboards are up. Television ads have been produced. And pre-poll is just two weeks away.
This is what happens when the grassroots rise up. When ordinary Australians decide that they have had enough. When they refuse to accept the two-party system that has failed them. When they back a candidate who will fight for families, for freedom, and for truth.
The article also promotes a podcast on National Conservatism. Dan Ryan challenges the assumptions of the centre-right. He asks whether it is time to move away from the free-trade ideology of the Howard-Abbott years. He suggests that we should prioritise sovereign capability—manufacturing industries like car-making. That is a conversation worth having.
The comment section says simply: “Important article. Thank you Lyle.”
So here is the challenge: support Moira Deeming. Volunteer for her campaign. Donate if you can. And vote Family First in the Victorian election. Because this is a chance to send a message to the major parties. A message that says: we are not going away.
Moira Deeming was kicked out. But she is not defeated. And Family First is rising.
