Ye looked for much, and, lo, it came to little; and when ye brought it home, I did blow upon it. Why? saith the Lord of hosts. Because of mine house that is waste, and ye run every man unto his own house. Haggai 1:9 (KJV):Morning Devotional: The verse from Haggai 1:9 reminds us of the importance of prioritizing God’s work and the consequences of neglecting it. In this verse, the people of Israel had been seeking abundance and prosperity but were met with disappointment. The Lord asks, “Why?” The answer lies in the neglect of God’s house, which was in ruins, while they focused on their own homes.
